Trilochan is a PhD candidate at the School of Political Science and International Studies, University of Queensland. His research focuses on the Protection of Civilians (POC) in UN peacekeeping operations, and thematically examines the effectiveness of the peacekeepers’ engagement in the backdrop of contemporary peacekeeping architecture.

Before joining the PhD program, Trilochan managed a project for UNDP Nepal and has also worked in South Sudan as well as having served as a peacekeeper with UN peacekeeping missions in Lebanon and Sierra-Leone. He was a NORAD-NOMA fellow for Masters in Conflict, Peace and Development Studies and spent a year in Sri Lanka for study/research in 2009.

Trilochan is also an alum of Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, UK.
