Professor Jan is the Head of the Health Economics program at the George Institute, a leading independent research institute and network of experts.

The Institute is a global leader in using innovative approaches to help improve the health of millions of people.With over 20 years of experience in health economics, Professor Jan has published over 200 scientific articles. His areas of expertise include health financing and economic evaluation and has experience in working closely with various governments domestically and internationally.

Professor Jan led a series of evaluations commissioned by the NSW Government to evaluate several ‘impact bonds’ – a form of impact investing. He has a broad range of knowledge regarding how impact is measured in these private-public financing structures, therefore offers an evaluative perspective for impact investing.
