Gilbert has over 25 years’ experience in international development planning and management and also worked in an Inter-governmental organisation. Since October 2012, Gilbert is the National Director for World Vision in Uganda. During his time in Uganda, Gilbert has provided strategic leadership to a range of programs such as post war programming; responding to the fastest growing refugee crisis in Africa; Child Protection and Advocacy for better health and education outcomes.
Gilbert has worked in Australia and many countries in Africa. This has equipped him with practical and advanced leadership skills and knowledge that enable him to provide strategic and appropriate leadership across different contexts.
Gilbert is passionate about programs that lead to transformative change especially amongst the most vulnerable groups of our society. He is a strong advocate for downward accountability and he likes to lead the present with the future as it emerges.
