Dr Bernadette Whitelum is the Director and founder of the Whitelum Group. Her experience and commitment to building thriving communities and responsive governments spans more than 25 years. Bernadette has worked with the Australian community development sector, the Australian Government aid program, and the United Nations Development Program. 

 Her roles have included Counsellor for the Aceh Reconstruction Program in Indonesia in the wake of the 2004 Boxing Day Tsunami, Head of the Poverty Reduction Unit for UNDP where she oversaw the Papua Development Program and HIV/AIDS portfolio, and Program Director for the Australian Civilian Corps Deployment Support Services.  

In the four years since starting Whitelum Group, Bernadette and her growing team of consultants have worked on numerous strategies, designs and evaluations for international aid programs.
