Olive Oa is a public health professional with twenty-two years of experience in Papua New Guinea. She has spent over a decade in social and behavioural research with the PNG Institute of Medical Research, conducted STI and HIV/AIDs surveillance with the Ministry of Health, and more recently shifted to working with non-government organisations – currently with ChildFund and previously for World Vision. Olive moved to ChildFund in 2012 where she holds the role of Program Manager – Health, and leads projects on maternal and child health, and tuberculosis. Olive has contributed to two recent reports by ChildFund, including the 2018 report on maternal deaths in PNG. She loves her work and is passionate about helping communities, women and children.
