Mary Wandia is the Policy Advisor on Civic Participation for ActionAid International, based in Nairobi. She has over 18 years of experience in policy and advocacy with national government and intergovernmental mechanisms supporting women and excluded groups to raise their voices. She is a co-founder of the Solidarity for African Women’s Rights (SOAWR) coalition and facilitated the establishment of two pan African coalitions – State of the Union (SOTU) coalition and the Pan African Citizens Network (PACIN). Mary holds a Master’s degree in International Studies and has previously worked with Equality Now, Open Society Foundation, Oxfam GN and FEMNET.
