Kavitha Suthanthiraraj is a senior professional with extensive policy, advocacy and research experience within international non-profits, research institutes and academic institutions. She has developed specialist expertise in child rights with a particular focus on the Pacific. Kavitha is currently working at Save the Children as their Pacific Policy and Advocacy Advisor across child protection, education and health and nutrition policies. Previously, Kavitha worked at RESULTS International as their national advocacy director, focusing on girls’ education and public health policies. From 2007-09, she was the International Program Director at Global Action in New York working across their UN women, peace and security program. Kavitha is currently undertaking her PhD on Human Rights and Responsible Protection. She has published articles and reports and organized workshops across diverse issues in the human rights space.
