Caroline has worked on issues of gender equality for over thirty years and is deeply committed to exploring effective approaches to transforming individual and systemic gender norms. Caroline was the final IWDA team member involved in the IWDA / ANU Do No Harm project. The Do No Harm materials are an exciting new tool that speak directly to gender norms in the Melanesian context and that facilitate organisations to ensure that their women’s economic empowerment programs integrate strong anti-violence measures, most particularly by addressing harmful gender norms around economics and violence. Caroline is passionate about creating opportunities for more people to learn about the Do No Harm toolkit and to use the tools to create individual, organisational societal transformation of gender norms.
