Alistair is the co-founder of the Centre for Armed Violence Reduction, which enables low-capacity countries around the world to control arms. Alistair has worked on peace and conflict programs for the past 20 years, including 11 years as CEO of Act for Peace. He as also held leadership positions at a range of other peace and development organisations such as the Institute for Economics & Peace and the Border Consortium – the primary service provider for over 200,000 displaced people from Myanmar. Alistair is also currently setting up ‘Save a Million’, a process enabling social impact bonds for programs in a jurisdiction which together can save a million years of life (DALYs) and dollars.
