Serena has over 10 years’ experience in the field of development and public policy, where she has worked in government, and the private and not for profit sectors. Prior to her appointment as CEO of Digicel Foundation PNG, she was the head of Expansion Programs at Oil Search Foundation and also worked for the Department of Justice and Attorney General as a senior policy lawyer.
Before this, Serena worked as the Executive Director for a NFP she co-founded called “The Voice Inc.”, which focuses on citizen led development. Her work in the NFP sector has led to her appointment as the Asia Pacific representative to the esteemed board of advisors for the International Institute of Democracy and Electoral Assistance in Stockholm, Sweden.
Serena holds a Bachelor of Law (Honors) from the University of PNG and a Master of Business specialising in philanthropy and NFP studies from the QLD University of Technology.
