Kavitha Suthanthiraraj is a senior professional with extensive policy, advocacy and research experience within international non-profits, research institutes and academic institutions. She has developed specialist expertise in child rights with a particular focus on the Pacific. Kavitha is currently working at Save the Children as their policy and advocacy advisor across child protection, education and health and nutrition policies.
Previously, Kavitha worked at RESULTS International as their national advocacy manager, focusing on girls’ education and public health policies. From 2007 to 2009, Kavitha was the International Program Manager at Global Action in New York working across their UN women, peace and security program.
Kavitha is currently undertaking her PhD at the University of NSW on Human Rights and Responsible Protections. Kavitha is the principal author of the EVAC Coalition report Unseen, Unsafe – The Underinvestment in Ending Violence Against Children in the Pacific and Timor-Leste.
