Glenn Bond is an independent development consultant and a PhD candidate with the Institute for Social Change at La Trobe University. Glenn has worked in senior roles for a number of Australian NGOs including Save the Children, Plan and CARE, most recently as Country Director for CARE in Laos.
With a background in program quality and development effectiveness, Glenn’s research interests now focus on organisational change the evolving role for INGOs in international development. Glenn is currently leading a Longitudinal Study of Transition for CARE International, accompanying four former country offices through their transition to local organisations. This work constitutes the case study for his PhD on Localisation and Legitimacy for International Non-Government Organisations.
