Gareth manages policy and government relations for Plan International Australia, working externally to achieve Plan’s influencing goals, and internally to align Plan’s research, advocacy and programming agendas. Gareth has recently moved to Plan from a similar role in ACFID, where he facilitated a successful sector-wide advocacy effort on civil society legislation and coordinated advocacy initiatives in Parliament House.

Gareth has built his career in the not-for-profit sector in Australia and abroad. He has post-graduate qualifications in Not-for-profit Management, International Development and Sociology. He used to spend most of his free time riding bicycles or playing Ultimate Frisbee, but is currently nursing a broken shoulder.
