Is there a theme, issue or bold idea you would like ACFID and its stakeholders to learn about, discuss and debate at this year’s ACFID National Conference? ACFID is providing an opportunity for organisations to host a concurrent session that links with our conference theme

Detailed information on the theme can be found here.

Topics for concurrent sessions can be drawn from the overarching theme or from suggestions below:

Geopolitical dynamics, emerging donors, graduation, multilateralism, financing development, social capital and innovation, creative engagement with the private sector and businesses, effective cross sector partnerships, organisational adaptation, resilience, shifting power, bridging the humanitarian-development divide, delivering the localisation agenda, promoting intersectionality, strengthening civil society, using innovation to tackle enduring threats such as climate change.

What are we looking for?

As part of the two-day conference program, there will be time allocated for concurrent sessions that:

  • Contribute to advancing the overall theme of ACFID Conference 2019;
  • Demonstrate collaboration within and/or beyond the sector; and
  • Engage delegates with practitioner-focussed content and audience interaction.

Priority will be given to EOIs for sessions that are designed for audience participation, actionable takeaways and practice-based insights and content. EOIs for panel-based sessions and case study presentations will still be accepted and considered for selection, however workshops, and roundtables and other interactive formats will be prioritised during the selection process.

To get started with your EOI, read the following guidelines for concurrent sessions.
