
Dr Anu Mundkur is the Head of Gender Equality at CARE Australia. Prior to joining CARE Australia, Anu was seconded from the Australian Council for International Development (ACFID) to the Australian Civil-Military Centre (ACMC) where she focused on supporting the development of national capabilities to prevent, prepare for and respond more effectively to humanitarian crises overseas. She was also a co-founder of the Gender Consortium, Flinders University.
Anu has extensive practical and applied research experience in the fields of gender and development. Her areas of expertise include women peace and security, gender and international aid, with over fifteen years of professional experience, including nearly ten years working, in different roles, on gender projects funded by the Commonwealth of Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (Australia Aid).
