Angela joined Oxfam New Zealand in July 2016 and, with the Oxfam NZ Partnerships team, is responsible for Oxfam NZ’s support to long-term development and humanitarian programming in the Pacific, Southeast Asia, and across the globe. Oxfam has a strong focus on inequality, gender and power, climate breakdown and active citizenship.
Before joining Oxfam, Angela worked in Canada and Kenya for another international NGO, with a focus on youth programming and gender equality. Between 2007 and 2010, Angela worked for the NZ Aid Programme of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, within the Pacific Division. She has also lived and worked in India, Belgium, the UK and Tanzania.
Angela holds two Masters degrees, her first from the University of Auckland, and her second in Cultures and Development Studies from a university in Belgium. Angela is originally from Auckland, although grew up in Canada.
